Who we are
Skilltronics LLC is a licensed Long Island contractor providing fire alarm, security, access control and low-voltage systems — installation, service, inspection and testing. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what we do and do not do with it.
What we collect
We collect only what we need to quote, schedule, perform and bill work:
- Contact information — name, business name, service address, email address, and phone numbers, including a mobile number where you give us one.
- Service information — the work requested, site details, equipment on site, job notes, photographs of work performed, and the records required for inspection and testing.
- Billing information — purchase order numbers, invoices and payment records.
We do not collect social security numbers, and we do not store full card numbers; card payments are handled by our payment processor.
How we use it
To respond to your request, schedule and perform work, communicate with you about that work, invoice you, and keep the service and inspection records our trade and the authorities having jurisdiction require.
Text messages (SMS)
If you give us your mobile number, we may send you text messages about your service — such as appointment confirmations, technician arrival, access instructions and job status.
How consent is obtained. You provide your mobile number and agree to receive service-related text messages when you contact us by phone to request service or schedule a visit. We record your number, the date of consent, and how it was given.
Message frequency varies with the work in progress. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. Opting out of text messages does not affect the service we provide; we will simply contact you another way.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Who we share information with
We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We share it only where it is necessary to do the work you asked for:
- the general contractor, property manager or building owner on a project where that is the reason we are on site;
- the authority having jurisdiction or a monitoring company, where an inspection, permit or alarm account requires it;
- service providers who operate our systems on our behalf — email, scheduling, accounting and payment processing — who may use the information only to provide that service to us;
- where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
As long as needed for the work and afterwards for the periods our trade, tax and insurance obligations require. Fire alarm inspection and testing records are kept for the retention period applicable to those records.
Your choices
You may ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to stop texting you, or ask us to delete information we are not required to keep. Contact us using the details above and we will respond.
Children
Our services are for businesses and property owners. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
