1. Who these terms apply to
These terms apply to the website and to service, installation, inspection and testing work performed by Skilltronics LLC ("Skilltronics", "we"). Where a signed proposal, work order, service agreement or purchase order exists for a job, that document governs and these terms fill any gaps.
2. Quotes and proposals
Quotes are based on the scope and site conditions described to us at the time. Conditions found on site that were not visible or disclosed — concealed wiring, existing equipment faults, code requirements imposed by the authority having jurisdiction — may change the price or schedule. We will tell you before carrying out additional work.
Unless stated otherwise, a quote is valid for 30 days.
3. Scheduling and access
We schedule in arrival windows, not exact times. You are responsible for providing safe and timely access to the work area, including keys, codes, escorts and any site-specific safety requirements. If we cannot gain access at the agreed time a return visit may be chargeable.
4. Payment
Invoices are due on the terms stated on the invoice, NET 30 unless agreed otherwise. Work performed under a purchase order is invoiced against that PO. We are not responsible for delays caused by a customer's internal approval or payment process.
5. Permits, inspection and code
Where a permit or an inspection by the authority having jurisdiction is required, we will tell you. Permit and inspection fees are the customer's responsibility unless the proposal says otherwise. Our work is performed to the applicable codes and standards in effect at the time.
6. Equipment and warranty
Manufactured equipment carries the manufacturer's warranty and no other. We warrant our own workmanship for 90 days from completion unless a proposal or agreement states a longer period. The warranty does not cover damage from misuse, alteration by others, power events, water intrusion, or equipment we did not supply or install.
7. Monitoring, testing and limits of a life-safety system
A fire alarm, security or access control system reduces risk. It does not eliminate it. No system prevents every fire, intrusion or loss, and no system performs correctly if it is not maintained, tested and kept in service. Where a system requires periodic inspection or testing to remain compliant, arranging that is the owner's responsibility unless we hold a current agreement to do it.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability arising out of the work is limited to the amount paid to us for the work giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of business, loss of profit, or loss arising from the failure of a system to detect or prevent an event.
9. Text messages (SMS)
If you give us a mobile number, we may send service-related text messages about your work. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle mobile information. Mobile opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties.
10. Website
Content on this site is provided for information. Descriptions of services are not a quote and do not create an agreement. We may change the site at any time.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.
